An archival record relating to Lewis Worrow’s admission as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers.

The Worshipful Company of International Bankers is one of the modern Livery Companies of the City of London. Established to represent the international banking profession within the City’s historic Livery movement, the Company promotes professional excellence, education, charitable giving and fellowship across the financial services community.

Lewis Worrow was admitted as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers as part of his professional association with the City of London’s international banking community.

Admission to the Freedom of the Company marks formal membership of the Company and participation in one of the City’s long-established civic institutions. Like other Livery Companies, the Worshipful Company maintains close links with the City of London Corporation while supporting educational, charitable and professional initiatives connected with its industry.

For members wishing to progress within the Livery movement, admission as a Freeman of the Company is followed by admission to the Freedom of the City of London before becoming eligible to take the Livery of the Company.

The Worshipful Company of International Bankers reflects the international character of London’s financial markets, bringing together professionals from banking, financial services, regulation, law, accountancy and related disciplines. Through lectures, educational programmes, charitable work and formal City events, the Company contributes to the continuing relationship between the financial services profession and the civic life of the City of London.

For Lewis Worrow, admission as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers formed the foundation of his subsequent admission to the Freedom of the City of London and represents an enduring connection with one of the City’s professional institutions serving international banking.
